YouTube sensation MrBeast has severed ties with his longtime collaborator, Ava Kris Tyson, following serious allegations of misconduct. Ava Kris Tyson, a prominent figure in the YouTube community and a long-time collaborator of the MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), has recently become embroiled in a controversy following allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving minors. These allegations have led to her removal from MrBeast’s team.

Known for her engaging presence in various challenge and prank videos, she played a crucial role in the channel’s rise to fame, which now boasts over 306 million subscribers. Tyson’s transition was met with both support and backlash, particularly from those who targeted her with transphobic comments. Despite this, MrBeast had previously defended her against such attacks.
The Controversy
The situation escalated when allegations surfaced that Tyson had engaged in inappropriate online interactions with a minor. The accusations specifically involved her exchanging messages with a 13-year-old fan when she was 20, which included references to explicit content. The now 20-year-old fan, Lava, has denied these claims. Despite both parties strongly disputing the allegations, these claims gained traction after a YouTube video scrutinised their exchanges, prompting public outcry and calls for accountability. In response to the allegations, MrBeast issued a statement expressing his disgust at Tyson’s alleged behaviour and announced that he had taken immediate action to sever all ties with her.
Taking to X, the star Youtuber wrote a long post saying that he is “disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts”.
“Over the last few days, I’ve become aware of the serious allegations of Ava Tyson’s behaviour online and I am disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts,” he wrote.
He emphasised that he does not condone such actions and has initiated an independent investigation into the matter.
The top-earning YouTuber further mentioned, “I will allow the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will take any further actions based on their findings.”“I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions.”
MrBeast’s statement starkly contrasted with Tyson’s own, which framed her departure as a mutual decision to step away from social media to focus on her mental health and family.
